Daily diet rule: Eat a carrot a day, or any other vegetable or fruit in at least five servings.
We know the benefits of including plant foods in our diet. But nonetheless I am presenting them again, to emphasize their importance:
- They boost our immune system
- They help make us look young
- They perk up the memory
- They contribute to better blood circulation
- They prevent certain types of cancer
In order to make children eat vegetables and fruits, parents should employ various techniques such as incorporating these food items in their daily recipes. Carrots, apples, raisins, peas and beans for instance can be included in daily meals by creatively preparing them in more appetizing ways.
